Before Korean culture popped off, Thailand was a huge importer of Japanese pop culture. Plenty of Thais who are in their 20s and 30s now grew up watching anime and Japanese variety shows.

That’s why a group of 4 Thai artists is collaborating to explore their artistic inspirations that are rooted in Japanese visual culture.

The exhibit is called Not Exactly A-NO-NE. The term A-NO-NE, which was popular during the early 2000s, was used by Thai teens to describe something cute and pure. So definitely expect to see various art styles from these artists that have grown and matured away from being simply cute and pure.

Date: 8-30 July 2023
Time: 11am-6pm, closed on Mondays
Address: 333gallery, Warehouse 30 (Unit 5), Charoen Krung 30, Bangrak, Bangkok 10500
