Buakaw-Pacquiao fight
A long-anticipated boxing bout that many fans have been eager to witness is the clash between Buakaw Banchamek, the reigning Muay Thai champion of Thailand, and Manny Pacquiao, the legendary figure in the boxing scene of the Philippines.
Now this dream has come true when the match between these two legends was announced to happen on 20 April at Impact Arena, Nonthaburi, Thailand. Read more to learn details of this highly awaited event.

The long wait is coming to an end after The Match of Phantoms between Buakaw Banchamek and Manny Pacquiao was announced by the organisers of Fresh Air Festival. It is set to occur on 20 April at Impact Arena, Nonthaburi.
The confirmation of the historic showdown between the two legendary fighters comes directly from Vinij Lertrattanchai, the Chief Executive of Fresh Air Festival Co Ltd.
Fresh Air Festival is a Thai company that manages exhibitions and organises concerts and events. In July 2022, they organised a big football match between Manchester United and Liverpool at Rajamangala Stadium.

As part of this momentous event, the organisers are also lining up several matches involving other famous fighters.
During a press conference held in July of the preceding year, Vinij revealed that the match between Pacquiao and Buakaw would take place in the under-70-kilogram weight class. The match will span six rounds of three minutes each, with a two-minute interval between rounds. The organising cost of this event would be over ฿860 million.
As you may already know, Buakaw is hailed as the greatest Muay Thai fighter and kickboxer in Thailand currently due to his numerous titles in the country and overseas.
Also known as “PacMan”, Pacquiao is esteemed to be one of the greatest boxers in history. He took on the role of a senator in the Philippines from 2016 to 2022.
