February has finally arrived, and many couples are scurrying for unique Bangkok date ideas to make their Valentine’s Day more memorable.
While dinner and drinks are definitely a classic way to celebrate, there are certain date ideas you may not have tried yet that’ll make your Valentine’s Day a little bit more special. If you’re curious about what those ideas are, we have curated a list of interesting activities for the special day that is 14th February.
Here are Bangkok date ideas that you will find as unique as your significant other.
1. Take them out of this world at the Bangkok Planetarium
This year, let’s skip movie theatres for a screening that’ll take your V-Day date to the next level.
Bangkok Planetarium is considered one of the romantic spots, where you can bring your partner to experience the entire universe in the blink of an eye.

Opened since 1964, this planetarium is part of the learning centre for science education. In fact, this attraction isn’t only a spot for indoor stargazing, but also the filming location for romantic Thai film Bangkok Traffic Love Story (2009).
After the movie hit the theatres, Bangkok Planetarium became a popular date-destination for many couples.
For example, back in 2016, a Thai celebrity, Bie KPN, used the Bangkok planetarium to propose to his wife underneath a starry sky.

Bangkok Planetarium has recently resumed operations from 4th February 2022 onwards.
Visitors are required to buy tickets which are available at ฿50 for adults and ฿30 for children before entering.

2. Benjakitti Forest Park: wetland park with a skywalk perfect for strolls

Aquarium dates are a classic, but they deserve to be mentioned just because they’re that good.
Nothing sets the mood quite like a dark, romantic, and mysterious world that you’d often never get the chance to see.
If you visit SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World, you can even get one of their combo packages that’ll give you access to other attractions like Madame Tussauds.
But if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative, you could also make it a daytrip and go to the Samut Sakhon Aquarium (สาคร อควาเรียม). It’s a much smaller aquarium, but it’s free to enter and the road trip and exploration more than make up for it.
