What is the Thailand Tourism Festival?

The festival is an annual travel show organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand. The festival highlights Thailand’s unique regions and subcultures, including places you want to visit and food you want to try.

It also focuses on sustainable tourism efforts around the country. These include promoting certified accommodation and low-carbon tourism routes.


Highlighting regionality in Thailand

The festival will be taking place in the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The main highlight of the event are the zones that focus on showcasing Thailand’s unique subcultures and regionality.

These include performances like Khon, Muay Lop Buri, various folk musical performances, and plenty of local DIY crafts.

For people who are unsure what the major tourist spots are, each region will also feature popular landmarks.

There is no need to worry about getting hungry either because there’ll be plenty of local specialties for you to taste.


How do I get to Queen Sirikit National Convention Center?

The festival is easily accessible through the MRT. Simply get to the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center MRT Station, then follow the signs to the center.

If you’re feeling adventurous, then you can also get on bus #136.

The festival will take place from 28 March – 1 April 2024. Doors open at 10am and close at 9pm. The event is free to enter.
