Thailand waives quarantine requirements from 1st November 2021
UPDATE:Â The Thai government has added a number of countries to the list, making the total number of countries that can travel to Thailand without quarantine to 63, according to Bangkok Post.
Over the recent months, the Thai administration has been vigilantly progressing towards a reopening of the country.
The world has been intently watching to see when exactly The Land of Smiles will allow international travellers to visit without having to undergo a mandatory quarantine period.
Just this evening, the Prime Minister announced that from 1st November 2021, vaccinated travellers from 10 nations will be able to visit Thailand quarantine-free.

Vaccinated travellers from 63 countries can enter Thailand without undergoing quarantine
On 11th October 2021, Thai Prime Minister Chan-o-cha announced that vaccinated international visitors from 10 “low-risk” countries will be able to enter Thailand from 1st November 2021 without any quarantine requirements.

- The United States of America
- Germany
- China
- France
- Japan
- The United Kingdom
- Laos
- India
- Myanmar
- Cambodia
- The Philippines
- Indonesia
- Vietnam
- South Korea
- Sri Lanka
- Taiwan
- Israel
- Australia
- New Zealand
- Spain
- Hong Kong
The government has stated that so long as visitors flying into Thailand are able to provide documentation that they have been fully vaccinated as well as a negative Covid-19 test taken before their arrival, they will not be required to undergo quarantine.
Furthermore, the administration is looking to expand the list over December 2021 and January 2022.
Alcohol to be served from December 2021
In the same announcement regarding quarantine-free travel into Thailand, the government provided an update on dining in.
Prime Minister Chan-o-cha stated that the administration is looking to permit the consumption of alcohol in dining establishments from 1st December 2021, according to Reuters.
