Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra’s free concerts till 19th Feb

We’re about to run out of cool evenings in Bangkok as we quickly enter February. You should definitely check out the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, who are putting on free concerts at Lumphini Park, before it gets too hot and sweaty to chill and picnic at the park.

Here’s what’s in store for you.

The Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra has been and continues to be home to many talented musicians and conductors. With both international and homegrown talent, this orchestra has travelled to perform throughout Asia.

Since 1993, their incredible music has been available to the public for free in the form of their “Concert in the Park” series.

The year 2023 will be their 30th anniversary, and once again they will perform a repertoire of incredibly diverse music from the classic familiar crowd-pleasers to movie scores and pop songs.

The orchestra will also be joined by some of Thailand’s best homegrown vocalists. These vocalists will range from young, budding children to seasoned veterans.

So if you were looking an opportunity to enjoy some of Thailand’s best classically trained musicians, this is a great chance to do so. You even get to enjoy the great weather in one of Bangkok’s biggest parks.

The concert will be held every Sunday at 5.30pm until 19th February 2023 at Lumphini Park.

The park is easily accessible through Bangkok’s MRT. You can get off at either the Silom station or the Lumphini station, and it’ll be a short 5 minute walk to the venue.

Once you’re in the park, all you have to do is make your way to the centre.

You’ll see a bunch of palm trees surrounding a patch of grass that is perfect for some picnic blankets. The sala located there is where you can see and hear the performances.
