Nitori opens at centralwOrld

Whether you’re an expat looking to spread your roots or a local looking to refurnish, the newly-opened Nitori has a lot to offer. The world-renowned Japanese furniture brand is often hailed as Japan’s #1 and now people in Thailand can see for themselves if they live up to that hype.

Here’s where to find their first, and second, branches in Thailand and why you’ll want to consider buying from them.

Nitori’s first ever branch in Thailand opened at centralwOrld. It’s located on the fifth floor of Zone i, or if you’re old enough like me, the area that used to be Isetan.

There you’ll find plenty of minimalist, earth-toned furniture that has earned Nitori the nickname “Japan’s IKEA.”

Since its opening at the end of August 2023, plenty of Thai shoppers have been happy with their new furniture and household equipment.

It’s been so popular that Nitori just opened a second branch over at Seacon Bangkae on 26 October 2023.

The store, which is even bigger than its centralwOrld counterpart, is located on the first floor.

Why shop at Nitori

But with plenty of IKEA’s and Muji’s around Bangkok, you’re probably asking why you’d want to get something from Nitori.

Nitori has Japandi style furniture, which blends Scandinavian-style simplicity with Japanese-style cosiness. Their furniture is also designed for smaller homes, perfect for younger Thai adults who are moving into smaller and smaller condos.

But perhaps most importantly, you’ll want to check out their pillow and N-cool products. It’s no secret that Thailand is hot all year round. Getting bed sheets and pillows that don’t heat you up in the night like a turkey in an oven will do wonders for your sleep, and your electric bill.

Best of all, it’s all offered at a very affordable price point.
