Ittha Boutique in Bangkok

If you’re a fan of renaissance Rome and also adore the well-loved Friends apartment, then you wouldn’t want to miss out on this cafe. With Roman-inspired pillars and spiral staircases connecting its two levels, Ittha Boutique Cafe is a playground for professional and amateur photographers alike.

So if you’re in search of another imaginative cafe to spend an afternoon, read on to find out more about our experience in this quaint space.

Narnia-like doors lead to a 2-storey loft cafe

The magic begins right at its doorstep – a huge wooden door with a lamp, right in the middle of an all-white cylindrical building. I knew it was going to be a beautiful space even before I stepped in and Ittha Boutique surely did not disappoint.

The cafe was pretty spacious and seemed to have clearly different spaces for different purposes – rooms for a cozy work meeting, open tables for brunch meet-ups or quiet corners for intimate dates. Oh, and they’re even pet-friendly – check out the cute pug sitting across us in this pic.

The decorations here also speak volumes about this cafe’s personality. We love the featured brick wall that appears around the cafe – reminiscent of Friends amidst the renaissance flair that the rest of the cafe offers.

Cafe features Roman arches that exude Renaissance vibes

With the featured pillars framing the second level of the cafe, it’s hard not to feel as if you’re walking around an old European castle.

Thanks to ample light pouring through its arched windows, the second level of the cafe makes for a perfect set to create moody shots for the gram or a spruced-up #OOTD pic.

Specialty coffees and Russian rolls from ฿145

But of course, while it’s a ton of fun snapping pics at such a gorgeous cafe, I think we’d all agree that food is just as important.

Thankfully, we got to treat ourselves to some savoury Russian Rolls which were stuffed with cheese and salami. Easy to eat as a hearty snack, these soft rolls will set you back by ฿280 (~USD5). We paired it with one of their specialty coffees – Salted Caramel Dirty – which cost about ฿145 (~USD4), a pretty fair price for a cuppa in this part of Bangkok.

Getting to Ittha Boutique Cafe

Before we conclude our review of the cafe, let’s take a final look at its name – Itthā can refer to the idea of being “pleasing” and the notion of “happiness”. We can surely testify that our time spent here, brought us both emotions. Whether it’s the fun we derived from snapping pictures all over the cafe, or the simple pleasures of savouring afternoon treats with our partners.

To reach this cafe, we’d recommend taking the BTS to On Nut Station, and hailing a cab or Grab ride. Expect about a 10-minute drive sans any peak traffic jams in Bangkok, and you’ll be right at the doorstep of your next cafe conquest.
