Factory gives employees 5.5 months bonus
Receiving a bonus at the end of the year is something that many workers appreciate and hope for. It’s considered to be a huge reward for the hard work and effort they have dedicated to the job.
However, some employers are more generous with their employees – so much so that they also reward their workers with other surprising gifts.
Here’s the story of a factory in Rayong that gave its staff members 5.5 months bonus, plus New Year’s gift boxes and cash worth ฿23,000 (~USD685).

Factory workers receive 5.5 months bonus
On 23rd December 2021, the story of workers at Somboon Somic Manufacturing receiving a 5.5 months bonus became the talk of the town among netizens on social media in Thailand.

More than 500 staff members at the factory were also rewarded with New Year’s gift boxes and cash worth ฿23,000 (~USDุ684).
Little did they know that their employer had a plan to surprise them before going back home during New Year’s holidays.
Factory also organizes gold sweepstakes & hosts Japanese food luncheon for employees
The factory also held a company-wide gold sweepstakes where the winner would receive 3.79 grams of gold to bring home.

The staff member who won the the lucky draw revealed to the press that he couldn’t contain his happiness when his name was drawn as the winner.

Additionally, the factory also hosted a Japanese food luncheon for all 580 workers at the end of the lucky draw activity.
