New IG spot in BKK

A giant flower garden has been set in up Bangkok’s city centre in honour of King Rama 10 and Queen Sirikit’s birthdays – the latter which coincides with Mother’s Day in Thailand on 12th August. The flowers are located along Ratchadamnoen Nai Road and the Democracy Monument. Plus, you can visit for free!

Every year, Bangkok is full of vibrant decorations to commemorate significant royal occasions, which can be found not just along the roads, but also at government buildings.

To mark the 67th birthday of King Rama 10 this year, more than 200 flowers have been planted, which visitors can visit to get photos of. You’ll also spot beautiful blooms that decorate the trees along the area’s walkways.

There are 48 arches along these 2 streets, together with fairy lights decorating that make the place come alive at night.

Bring mum here for a nice evening out
Thai locals celebrate Mother’s Day on 12th August, which is also Queen Sirikit’s birthday. Many locals spend time with their families to celebrate this special day, so why not bring mum out for a nice evening? You can even get some sweet family photos taken here.
The flower garden will be open to members of the public to visit for free till 13th August 2019.
