Things to do in Bangkok in February 2024


February is the month of love…and fixing your luck, oftentimes for the sake of the former. While we can’t reach into the cosmos to ensure an auspicious month for you, we can certainly point you in the right direction with all the fantastic activities in Bangkok this month.

1. Design Village Chinese New Year: Community malls put on a show

Two branches of Design Village in Bangna and Kaset Nawamin will put on shows for Chinese New Year. From 8-14 February, there’ll be traditional Chinese music featuring old songs, dances, and the iconic guzheng. There’ll also be a special lion and dragon dance on the 10th starting 6pm.

2. TGIF Chinese Festival: CNY-themed pop-up food market inside Central Rama 9

TGIF Market, aka Thank God It’s Flea Market, will turn the B Floor of Central Rama 9 into a pop-up flea market selling delicious food. With how hot and smoky it’s getting, the AC is a godsend for flea market lovers.

3. Celebrate Chinese New Year: Riverside hotel CNY meal at Sala Rattanakosin Bangkok

For those with smaller families looking to celebrate Chinese New Year with a fancy hotel meal, Sala Rattanakosin Bangkok is offering a special Chinese feast only from 10-11 February. You’ll have to call to reserve spots, but the hotel has a fantastic view of Wat Arun across the river so it’s worth it.

5. Siam Sinfonietta’s Valentine Concert: Romantic songs from Romeo & Juliet

8. Japanese Film Festival 2024: 19 diverse films from Japan

House Samyan and The Japan Foundation have selected 19 films not to be missed that’ll showcase the best of the Japanese film industry. Tickets and a full selection of films are available on House Samyan’s website or at the ticket counter on the 5th floor of Samyan Mitrtown.

11. Sansiri “Woof Fun Run”: A marathon with your dog
