Thai Lion Air stops all flights

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic in Thailand, budget airline Thai Lion Air has suspended all of its flights, both domestic and international, from 25th March to 30th April 2020.
In their statement, Thai Lion Air revealed that they have decided to temporarily cease all operations as the airline is “badly” affected by the falling number of passengers.

What can passengers do?

If you’ve booked a flight between the lockdown dates, you’re given a choice to either rebook your itinerary, retain your credits, or get a full refund.

According to Bangkok Post, Thai Lion Air also terminated cabin crew members who were still on probation as their number exceeded the need. However, the airline is keeping its pilots, though with a monthly salary reduction of 40%.
Other airlines are taking action
Besides Thai Lion Air, Thai AirAsia has cancelled also all of its international flights between 22nd March to 25th April this year while Nok Air has suspended flights to and from Vietnam from 21st March to 31st May 2020.
International carrier Thai Airways had also decided to cancel and reschedule the flights since late February this year.
