COVID-19 claimed 4 lives
Thailand’s government revealed that 4 Thai labourers in Saudi Arabia have died from the virus since June.
On 28th August 2020, Labour Minister Suchart Chomklin discussed the matter with Minister Counsellor of Labour in Saudi Arabia and Chief of Lampang Provincial Employment Office through a teleconference call.

According to Bangkok Post, 67-year-old Thanom Chuedaeng is the latest case of a worker who died from COVID-19 in Saudi Arabia.
Originally from Lampang, Mr Chuedaeng worked for a company in Jubail, an eastern province of the country, when he was diagnosed with COVID-19. He had been treated for the disease at a local hospital since 16th August 2020 until he succumbed to the virus on 26th August.
Although Mr Chuedaeng’s body will be buried in Saudi Arabia, his family will still hold religious rites for him in Thailand.

As of 27th August 2020, Saudi Arabia has reported 311,855 cases of COVID-19 infections with 3,785 deaths and 286,255 recoveries.
