Take A Walk cafe in Chiang Mai
When we think of themed cafes in Thailand, it’s hard to surpass rose-covered walls, or shelves that resemble a Hogwarts potion class, but we’ve always been pleasantly surprised by Chiang Mai’s offerings.
Hidden in a tiny corner of Chiang Mai lies Take A Walk Cafe, which serves coffee straight out of a little wooden house that resembles good ole’ Pooh bear’s inviting abode in the Hundred Acre Woods.
If you’re a fan of Winnie The Pooh, and have always wondered how his house looks like during your bedtime stories, we’ve done a spot of research to help you prep for a trip down with your BFFs.

Resembles Winnie the Pooh’s cottage in the Hundred Acre Woods

At Take A Walk, their most iconic feature has to be this cottage surrounded by trees. From the circular door, to the adorable chimney built with stacked rocks, the house doesn’t look like a part of our world at all. Definitely getting those shire vibes from The Hobbit – or perhaps something from Winnie the Pooh.

We love the attention to detail for the décor of the place. As you are waiting for your drink, feel free to take a seat outside your little hobbit home and snap some pictures for the road.

Plus points if you come decked in your own dreamy, fairytale outfit made for the woodlands. Speaking of photo spots, the entire compound has loads of other hidden nooks if you wanna score more pics for the gram.
Loads of IG spots like a rustic stone bridge in front of a treehouse

With trees so grand and all that greenery as a serene backdrop for the smol stone bridge, it’s almost impossible not to feel like a character straight out of a storybook.

There’s even a giant treehouse here where you can climb up and explore. If you came with the little ones, you could even roleplay as dwarfs crossing a stream and bring their fairytales to life.

Well, now that we’ve got to explore the outsides of this woodsy cafe, it’s time for us to check out their menu.
Signature Chocolate Dinosaur drinks & biscuits

We spotted this giant cup of decadent iced chocolate on their feed, topped to the brim with thicc mound of whipped cream and chocolate powder, and copious amounts of drizzle. We’ve reached out for more info on the prices, and we’ll update this piece when they get back.

If you’re not much of a chocolate lover, you can also indulge in a lovely cup of hot matcha with some biscuits, all while catching up on your most recent read at the cafe.
Getting to Take A Walk in Chiang Mai
While we may not be able to bring our fairytales to life, it sure does feel good to have some of their magic brought over to us as adults – even if they come in little callbacks to the tales and stories we’ve loved since we were children.
So if you’re seeking some kind of fairytale-esque escape on your next cafe-hopping trip in Chiang Mai, be sure not to give this immersive coffeehouse a miss.
