Since the first outbreak of Covid-19 in 2020, the virus has continued to spread across the world. New cases seem to continue popping up in many countries despite preventative measures, both of which have caused changes in our daily lives.

Even though wearing a mask and practicing proper hygiene helps to reduce the risk of infection, it’s still possible to catch the virus.

Here’s the story of Lisa BLACKPINK, a worldwide superstar, who tested positive for Covid-19.

Lisa BLACKPINK diagnosed with Covid-19


On 24th November 2021, Lalisa Manoban, a 24-year-old star from BLACKPINK better known as “Lisa”, tested positive for Covid-19, according to an announcement issued by BLACKPINK’s label, YG Entertainment, to media outlets.

YG Entertainment also reported that Lisa was diagnosed with Covid-19 prior to filming new content and does not exhibit any severe symptoms.

They also stated that Lisa as well as other members of the band have been fully vaccinated.

The other three members of BLACKPINK, including Jennie, Jisoo, and Rose have also undergone RT-PCR tests which showed they were negative for the virus.

After the announcement about Lisa testing positive for Covid-19 was issued, it went viral on social media in many countries including Thailand.

Netizens started the hashtag #GetWellSoonLisa, which they’re to mark heir encouraging tweets wishing for the star’s quick recovery.

Another netizen tweeted a message that suggested Lisa get rest.

We really hope that Lisa will recover from Covid-19 soon and are looking forward to seeing her setting the stage on fire with bandmates again.


Strictly follow the guidelines set by health professionals


While we’re waiting for Lisa’s comeback, we can continue doing our part in reducing the number of new Covid-19 cases.

In order to do so, just follow the preventative guidelines set by health authorities such as wearing a mask, washing your hands regularly, and practicing social distancing.
