Medical workers are working harder and harder due to the rising numbers of COVID-19 patients who need close care. Over 50% of nurses and 90% of doctors have to work overtime and even 24-hour to cope with the situation.
The Food For Heroes project is helping give back to all healthcare personnel by launching an initiative to support them with good food for free.

The event organizing company Event Banana together with funding website Taejai aims to offer free food for Thai medical workers with this donation project.
This was done after they found out that while food donations were offered to some hospitals, it wasn’t done so regularly. Additionally, it’s not easy for the hospital staff to always order food for themselves as tons of stores are closed during this time.

Both organisations have teamed up with restaurants and eateries all across Bangkok to be a part of this heartwarming project.
For April, they’ve set a goal to provide over 7,500 sets of food for 7 hospitals including
- Somdejprapinklao Hospital
- Ladkrabang Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Hospital
- Chulabhorn Hospital, Phramongkutklao Hospital
- Thammasat University Hospital
- Bhumibol Adulyadej Hospital
- Golden Jubilee Medical Center
They hope to add many more hospitals to their list in the future.
This project helps each hospital to receive sufficient amounts of food for its staff every day while also supporting restaurants with an income during this difficult time.
