Botanist Activity Space & Cafe
So there are flower-themed cafes and forest-themed cafes that pop up every once in a while, but Botanist Activity Space & Cafe definitely spoiled the market from the very moment we set foot inside. Nestled in a cozy corner of Bangkok – about 45 minutes away from the city centre – it prides itself in being an oasis of calm and serenity for guests.
We’ll give you a first look at this cafe’s well-maintained greenhouse and matcha-themed menu, on our recent soujourn there. Basically, if you’re just as curious as I was about plants, cacti and all that matcha-loving jazz, then read on to see what Botanist Activity Space & Cafe has to offer.

20-year-old greenhouse and koi pond
Before we get into the cafe’s offerings, we first have to talk about the scene-stealer that is their ever-photogenic cacti garden. From what we saw on IG, our team merely expected the all-glass greenhouse to be a smol part of the premises. Little did we know that the cafe’s grounds extended to an entire greenhouse that surrounded the cafe which was merely a fraction of the compound.
From having whimsical creeping cedars draping down the roof of the garden to their busy koi-filled pond that stretches along their walkway, the garden is beautifully maintained and is a picturesque set for all that encounter it.
With all the plants in the greenhouse – from commonly found ferns to rare plants – if you’re a little bit of a geek about botany, we’re sure you’d have a swell time just like my colleague who was pretty much stopping every few minutes to snap photos. Not of himself – but of the plants.Â
A cacti garden surrounded with all-glass windows
At the end of the pathway lies an elusive Cacti greenhouse that’s encased within a pristine glasshouse.
With the sandy neutrals matching the pastel green of the cacti, it is the perfect backdrop for an #ootd or a close-up of your cakes and matcha drinks.
Creative matcha drinks & refreshing berry sodas
Â
Speaking of cakes and matcha drinks, we love that their menu came with various creative twists on good ol’ matcha. As curious cats ourselves, we opted for their refreshing Yuzu Matcha at ฿180 (~USD5), which was a refreshing burst of flavour in the summer heat.
As for our pastry choice, we opted for the affectionately named Banoffle – which was stuffed full of bananas. Most of their cakes cost about ฿180 (~USD5), an affordable price for the intricate work put into making them.
Getting to Botanist Activity Space & CafeÂ
After spending nearly half a day at the cafe, our team definitely fell in love with the space. Beyond its IG-worthy aesthetics and matcha drinks, what blew us away was the service of the Botanist team. With their warm and genuine demeanour, coupled with the ambience of the cafe, we’re sure you won’t regret a trip down to this lovely cafe.
