Wat Pha Tak Suea in Nong Khai
As a northeastern province admired for Naga balls – mysterious lights that annually rise from the Mekong River, Nong Khai borders Laos and offers beautiful scenery. The city has a scenic skywalk located at a temple – Wat Pha Tak Suea – on a mountain you can climb and view green hills, lush jungles, and the Mekong River.
Let’s find out more about the temple and skywalk here.
Skywalk with expansive views of Laos
The temple has two main large ordination halls boasting picturesque stairs with mythical, ornate Thai snakes on both sides.
In a lush outdoor area sit Buddha statues that you can pay respects to.
The major feature of this temple is a protruding glass-floored skywalk from which you can enjoy a scenic view.
The view is so expansive that you can see faraway mountains, villages, and the Mekong River over a great distance.
If you come here in winter, you can expect to see mist covering the land and the river.
