If you’re looking for a chill place to relax after a busy work week, then Bangpu Recreation Centre is a place to visit. Located close to Bangkok in Samut Prakan, this recreation centre is a popular seaside hangout where you can go snap pics of seagulls and admire the sunset on the weekend.

Bangpu Recreation Centre is a popular spot in Samut Prakan where BKK residents usually come to chill out, thanks to its relaxing surroundings and a wide range of seafood restaurants nearby.

During winter, the place is filled with thousands of seagulls that migrate from Siberia to warmer climates. You can bring your camera here to capture pics of the seagulls.

Moreover, you can buy bird feed from ฿20 (~USD0.57)/bag to feed these seagulls upon your visit. Please note that it’s best to feed them on the both sidewalks of the bridge, instead of throwing food on the road.

Getting to Bangpu Recreation Centre


If you’re looking for a place near Bangkok to hang out after work on the weekend, you should try visiting Bangpu Recreation Centre.

To get there, you can take the BTS train to BTS Kheha Station and walk to Exit 3. Once you get out of the station via Exit 3, you’ll see many pick-up truck taxis. You can get on the one with the number 36 or find one with a route to Bangpu – they both can take you to the location.
