Wat Khao Thabaek Has A Glass Skywalk & Is 2 Hours From BKK

Glass skywalk in Chonburi

There are over thousands of Wats in the Land of Smiles, and they are known as spiritual places of worship for Buddhists.

But at Wat Khao Thabaek, visitors can enjoy a more scenic experience with its glass skywalk that has just opened to the public on 5th December 2020.

Here, you can enjoy lush sceneries all around – and right below your feet!

Panoramic views a 2-hour drive from Bangkok

Before getting to the glass walk, there’s another bridge to cross in order to get to the hill.

This place has a strong Sakura feel to it, thanks to the vibrant red trees that surround the area. The bridge also has a pretty 360-degree panoramic view to snap photos of even before reaching the glass skywalk.

Then there comes what we’ve all been waiting for; the Wat Khao Thabaek glass skywalk stands 25 metres above ground level and is 226 metres long.

Note: The sole purpose of collecting admission fees for now is to collect donations that will go towards building the temple’s Buddha statue. After its completion, admission will be free.

Visitors can enjoy pretty views of the surrounding hills and embrace the countryside feels.

The glass tiles are almost 2 tonnes thick – that’s 50 metres in length and 50 millimetres in width, definitely safety assured for Insta-holics!

Another cool temple in Thailand

When it comes to beautiful attractions like the glass skywalk, there are established rules to follow in order to maintain the area and stay safe. This includes not running or jumping in the area or leaving on the glass panels.
