VIBRANT BKK Is An Industrial-Style Minimalist Cafe With Specialty Coffee & Reverse Lava Cakes From ~USD3

VIBRANT BKK

Industrial-themed cafes always seem to carry its own kind of gritty beauty and VIBRANT BKK is no exception. Boldly hidden in plain sight, this minimalist industrial-themed cafe presents a simple yet thoughtful space with a side of aromatic coffee.

If you’re looking for a quiet cafe with a gritty personality – and good coffee to boot, read on to find out more about this gem we’ve recently uncovered in the streets of Bangkok.

Minimalist seating area with stone ledges doubling up as chairs

The entrance to the cafe was so subtle that if I was simply a passer-by, I probably would have walked right past it. But good things come to those who know what to look for, right?

Even from its exterior, I was impressed by the personality that VIBRANT BKK exuded. From the intentional placement of its mini yet functional tables to the perfect use of ambient light, the cafe did an immaculate job in setting the mood for their visitors.

While I might not spend an afternoon here getting my work done, the cafe was definitely a conducive environment for conversations and quick meet-ups between friends.

The staff were also incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our visit. Best part was that we could see them brewing our coffee right before our eyes – and boy did it smell good.

Cafe’s second floor houses seasonal art exhibitions

While the cafe had a small space for guests on the ground floor, the design choices definitely lived up to the minimalist effect that it was going for. Since it had 2 levels, it also gave us a few opportunities to snap some IG-worthy photos from different points of view.

We’d recommend this cafe specifically for those who’re looking for somewhere to enjoy some solitude. As the cafe was situated right in the middle of one of Bangkok’s busiest main roads, sipping on my coffee while hearing the cars go by was definitely a mood.

And of course, what cafe review is truly complete without us taking a look at their menu.

Specialty coffees, drinks and cakes from ฿100

We ordered a few caffeinated drinks, but their Midnight Choc – i.e. a reverse lava cake – was the standout dessert by far. The moist slice of gooey chocolate cake was decadent and rich, thanks to the dark chocolate mousse filling, only setting us back by an affordable ฿100 (~USD2.80).

Since this was our first stop of the day, I had to get my daily dose of caffeine in and ordered their Sea Salt Caramel Latte which cost about ฿120 (~USD3.40). Not to play into the character of a basic bish, but this girl also opted for oat milk at an additional ฿35 (~USD1), which rounded out the latte just as I’d hoped.

The coffee was aromatic and flavourful without being too acidic. Honestly, even if they didn’t have such a unique aesthetic, I’d probably be back for the quality beans.

Getting to VIBRANT BKK

Even if you’re not someone who cares for a cafe’s aesthetic, as long as you’re a coffee lover, trust me when I say that this is a caffeine stop in the heart of Bangkok that you’d definitely not wanna skip.

Do note that the entrance is pretty nondescript, so keep your eyes peeled for the small signboard with the cafe’s logo emblazoned on it.
