The Wood Land Is A Bangkok Cafe With A Treehouse Loft & Smol Shack Serving Drip Coffee From ฿100

The Wood Land cafe in Bangkok

Living in Bangkok, it’s hard for us to find a green space to hang around. No matter where we look, we only see buildings, cars, and smell the fumes of exhaust. That could make us wanna pack up and head somewhere peaceful for a change of pace.

But I think if we look carefully, we can find some place just like this, in our big metropolitan city.

The Wood Land is a hidden cafe with a treehouse loft and small coffee shack, designed to be an idyllic forest escape here for city-dwellers.

We’ll take you through what the eatery located in On Nut, Bangkok has to offer, including artisan drip coffee from ฿100 below.

Drop by an open air rustic cafe in Bangkok

When you first visit The Wood Land, you’ll notice that the premises are surrounded by brick walls, to create a secluded, hidden grove. From bar side sitting, to an outdoor area with recliners, there’s plenty of seating options for visitors to pick from.

We’d drop by the little shack at the side, with trees towering over for maximum shade, just to check out their full menu and make payment.

As for the wooden counter that functions as a coffee bar, you’ll get to watch baristas prepare your drip coffee right in front of you.

After getting your drink, pick a seat on the large cushions under the big shady tree adjacent to the shack. Pause for a moment to bask in the warm sunlight as you sip your coffee slowly.

If you are not a fan of the glare of the sun, take shelter at this cosy wooden seating area near the back. With recliner rattan chairs, and strings of lights, we’re sure the chill ambience will only grow as the evening falls.

Before you go, do try to find these winding steps that will lead you to a viewpoint overlooking the trees. Guests are allowed to bring your coffee up and enjoy panoramic views of your surroundings via this treehouse loft.

Having covered the ambience and the IG-spots, let’s take a glance at their menu.

Coffee beans from Chiang Mai and artisan drip coffee from ฿100

The Wood Land uses coffee beans from their own farm in Chiang Mai along with other blends. Start your day with this milky Hot Latte for ฿120 (~USD3). You can order a coffee in single origin with their own beans or a special house blend, which is a mix of their beans and other beans, from Brazilian or Ethiopian origins.

For tea addicts, you can try Edelweiss Green Tea for ฿120 (~USD3) that infuses green tea with elderflowers, for that sweet and sour tanginess in every sip.

As for mains, try their Spaghetti Bolognese for ฿150 (~USD4) or Katsu Curry Rice for ฿180 (~USD6), for a full-blown meal if you’re planning to stay here longer.

FYI, alcohol is served here, which could be an option for evening gatherings with your friends in a quiet escape from the city.

A rare pet-friendly cafe in Bangkok

Many of us feel some separation anxiety when we’re away from our pets for too long. In Bangkok, many cafes aren’t pet-friendly just yet but we’ve another recommendation here.

As for The Wood Land, you’ll be able to bring your furfriends to this forested cafe with you. Feel free to take cute snaps with your dawg here for the memories.

The Wood Land cafe is near On Nut BTS station

It’s pretty rare to find a cafe quite like The Wood Land in Bangkok, thanks to its rustic treehouse theme, and inclusiveness in hosting pets. If you’re planning a trip down, getting here is a no-brainer because it is located close to Sukhumvit Road and the BTS station named On Nut.

All you’ll have to do is get off the train at On Nut Station and walk into Sukhumvit Alley 52, and it will be on your right.

Hopefully, you’ll love this hidden green space in this coffee shop as much as we did, and we’ll see more concept cafes like this pop up in Bangkok.
