Thai student rides horse to university
Due the rising prices of gas in Thailand recently, we, as Thai citizens, struggle in our day-to-day life with gas bills since we depend on vehicles to get around daily. However, that’s not the case for this sophomore student in Kalasin, a province in northeastern Thailand.
A Thai student of Kalasin College of Dramatic Arts went viral after a clip of him riding his horse on the street was shared on social media. He claims that the reason for him riding a horse to school, was due to pricey gas in Thailand nowadays. Find out below how this story unfolded.

On 30th August 2022, Facebook user Boat Ekparin Mongkummuen, posted a video of a man turning his horse at the intersection to enter his college. After the video was shared widely, many netizens shared loads of funny comments and observations on the hilarious scene.

The OP told the press that he had gotten his horse from a monk, so he brought the horse back to his apartment. Thankfully, the owner of his house allowed him to keep his horse. Having a horse in possession, he decided to ride it to college regularly, to save money on petrol.

Another netizen said that this alternative mode of transport would definitely solve the high gas price problem.

Finally, this netizen jokingly asked if the horse would eat all the grass in the college when the rider left it there.
An efficient alternative to cars
No doubt, this guy looks like a 10/10 stud while riding on his horse. We like the fact that he rides his horse to college without shying away from owning his decision to use alternative transport.
As for saving money on expensive petrol these days, if you don’t mind riding at a pace that’s slower than a car, it’s definitely a cost-effective solution. However, we’re not sure if we can be confident like him when riding a horse, so we might stick to our cars or bikes for now.
