Thailand Is Aiming To Launch Its Own Spacecraft To The Moon In The Next 7 Years

Launching within 7 years

Thailand’s science industry recently made waves after Chulalongkorn University announced their game plan to make a COVID-19 vaccine for Thais. Now, the country’s Minister of Higher Education Anek Laothamtas is taking things a big step further – he’s set a goal to launch Thailand’s first orbiting spacecraft to the moon within 7 years.

Guess the sky isn’t the limit if you want to reach the stars.

At a press conference at Chulalongkorn University on 14th December 2020, the minister took a vow to move Thailand forward towards a brighter and more innovative future. Doing so also hopes to inspire citizens that Thailand will no longer be a developing country.

In regards to his to-the-moon plan, he added that the country would be the 5th Asian country to launch a space vessel following China, India, Japan, and South Korea.

May science be with the country
