Thai dentist picks a lock and then removes plaque

Nowadays you need to be able to be well-rounded to be competitive in the job market. But that’s probably not what this Thai dentist thought it meant when she was asked to remove a handcuff from her patient.

Here’s why she was asked to pick a lock and why the cuffs were there in the first place.

It’s not every day that a dentist gets to treat a patient with cuffs on. It’s stranger still when that patient also asks the dentist to take the cuffs off. That’s what happened on 8th July 2023 when a woman in Udon Thani went to her dentist’s appointment. 

Turns out the woman has a playful relationship with her policeman son. They’d often play cops and robbers, but this time she ended up actually getting cuffed. 

Unluckily, her son works in Khon Kaen, so the keys were in another province altogether.

Because it was so close to her appointment, the woman decided to just go to the dentist first, then sort the cuff situation out later. 

Understandably, the dentist was baffled by this situation. Could this have possibly been an arrest gone awry?

Turns out that the woman has been a regular patient for over 10 years, so this was sorted out with a conversation. In fact, the woman even asked her dentist if she could remove her cuffs.

The dentist took on the challenge. Like many of us when we want to learn something, the dentist turned to Youtube for advice. 

Using the medical tools available to her, she tried to pick the lock. Sadly, those attempts ended in failure. 

Still, we have to applaud the dentist for her admirable service-mindedness. The patient eventually went to the police station where she got the cuffs off.
