Activities during summer in Thailand
If you haven’t already felt it, then get ready because the next couple of months will be some of Thailand’s hottest. With that in mind, it’ll be hard to find things to do without getting absolutely melted by the sun. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of Thai summer activities that you can do without being at risk of a heatstroke. And we didn’t even include our favourite pastime: going to the mall.
Here are a selection of our favourite things to do during summer.
What is summer like in Thailand?
It’s hot. It’s hot everywhere! If you’re not used to the tropic weather, then it’d be best to prepare for days that are minimum 35°C (95°F) and can go past 45°C (113°F).
Plus, because of the humidity, it’ll feel even worse. Light clothing is a must, and you may also want to pack some deodorant.
When is summer in Thailand?
It’s always summer in Thailand. But jokes aside, the hottest months in the year are around April-May.
Most Thai primary and secondary schools will also be closed during this time of the year, so many popular local destinations may be a bit more packed than usual during the weekdays.
