Thailand’s “sharing tractor”
Sharing pantries have been a great initiative to support each other during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, there are still people who stay a distance away from such community pantries and are unable to get access to such necessities.
One community leader tried to fulfil the needs of all members of a local village, so he drove a tractor full of free snacks around giving away free snacks for kiddos to enjoy.

Children are all staying at home these days because schools are closed due to COVID-19. So, Mr. Sakariya Mukem, the community leader of Duan Kalong district in Udonthani province, decided to pack bags of snacks on a tractor for children to enjoy.

The community does have a sharing pantry, but Mr. Sakariya understands that parents have to choose the most essential supplies for their home. That can’t be snacks for sure.
These days, the eager kiddos wait for a horn from Uncle Sakariya as they know him – sort of like an ice cream truck! This is such a heartwarming moment that lightens up our moods in this dark time.

Thank you Mr. Sakariya for your kindness!
