Classrooms with social-distancing rules

The reopening of schools in Thailand, which was set to happen in May/June, has since been pushed to 1st July 2020.
To reduce the chances of COVID-19 from spreading in classrooms, school staff now must prepare classrooms to abide by social-distancing rules – this includes setting up partitions on tables and locating them at a safe distance from others.
However, not all schools are financially equipped to be able to afford the proper material and furnishings to keep their students safe. For example, Wat Pichai School is unable to afford such items. To fix this, teachers and other staff members have come together to put in their own money to set up classrooms for their students.Â

Lacking sufficient funds, Sarinrat Dhamrongsinsak, the school’s director, together with other teachers and staff pitched in to help instead.Â

Even though the Teachers had to spend their own money, they were willing to do as they wanted their students to be safe. They have been working together on setting up tables with proper safety features to get ready for the upcoming reopening on 1st July.
