Earlier this week, a white Thai cat named Ka-Puang became an internet sensation after his owner, Miss Tammapa Supamas, accidentally “dyed” him with turmeric to cure his ringworm.

When she first noticed signs of ringworm, a common skin disease in cats, on one of Ka-Puang’s front legs, Tammapa applied modern medicine on it. However, this furry bad boy kept licking it clean.

After a few tries, Tammapa was afraid that Ka-Puang would get sick from consuming too much medicine meant for his skin. So, her grandmother chimed in and helped by offering a traditional alternative; turmeric.

Well, Tammapa’s mother went one step further and decided to apply turmeric powder on every inch of Ka-Puang’s furry white body.

After Tammapa realised that her beloved cat turned into a real-life Pikachu thanks to her mother, she then took photos and shared it on Facebook.

The post was met with instant popularity, so Tammapa opened a dedicated Facebook page and keep fans posted on Ka-Puang’s ringworm condition.

Good news is that Ka-Puang’s ringworm is getting better and hair started to grow on what used to be bare pink skin.
