Rang Nam Walking Street

After 3 tourist spots including Yaowarat, Silom, and Khao San were successfully transformed into walking streets for tourists and locals to enjoy, Bangkok will be holding it’s next walking street come February.
This will be located at Rang Nam Road near Victory Monument each month, starting from 15th-16th February 2020.
Monthly Walking Street starting this February
Rang Nam Road is a busy street full of restaurants, hotels, and shopping malls like Century Movie Plaza and King Power Rangnam.
According to Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA)’s aim to boost the Thai economy, Rang Nam Road, which is easily accessible by Victory Monument BTS, is often packed with travellers, making it a perfect choice for a walking street.

Rang Nam Road will be closed and transformed to be a walking street once a month over the weekends, starting its first round on 15th-16th February 2020 from 12pm to 10pm.

Most restaurants and shops around the area will bel bringing their dishes to offer along the street. There will also be an announcement for vendors who are interested in selling their food and products at the event. So, foodies can expect tons of street food and snacks offered here.

Other than food stores, visitors can enjoy live music which will take place at the nearby Santiphap Park.
The roads will be available for vehicles to use after 12am.
How to get to Rang Nam Road
Rang Nam Road is a busy street that connects three main roads together – Phayathai, Ratchathewi, and Ratchaprarop Road.

Victory Monument BTS is the easiest way to get here – it’s only a 5-minute from the station.
