Phu Lom Lo in Loei has cherry blossoms
Some nature spots in northern Thailand boast blooming cheery blossoms during winter, and Phu Lom Lo in Loei is one of the few places you should visit if you’re keen on admiring the scenic flowering of cherry blossoms scattered over green hills.
Additionally, you can also go camping with your buddies and enjoy stargazing at night here, Phu Lom Lo is definitely a place to add to your travel bucket list this winter.

Phu Lom Lo is a highly-visited area in Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park during the winter, as visitors like coming here to watch the blooming of the cherry blossom trees.
There, you will find a small town called Ban Rong Kla – a town resembling a Japanese village when the cherry blossom trees sprout in full bloom during winter.

You can trek through some small lush paths surrounded by cherry blossom trees on a hill. You’ll surely find lots of nice spots for your IG pics.

If you hike uphill, you can expect to see a commanding panorama of blooming cherry blossoms spectacularly covering a hill from afar. We recommend visiting the place in January for this beautiful sight as the blossoms are in full bloom during this month.

Phu Lom Lo features a viewpoint that not only lets you enjoy the sight of blooming cherry blossoms but also allows you to catch the sunrise.

If you wish to camp overnight, there are a few camping grounds nearby where you can set up a tent with your family and friends. You can try stargazing at night as the campsites are free of light pollution and allow you to see the night sky fill up with twinkling stars without any obstruction.
Getting to Phu Lom LoÂ
Since the national park overlaps three provinces in northern Thailand, you can visit Phu Lom Lo via routes from any of these provinces. However, the most popular and easiest way of going to the park is via Dan Sai District in western Loei province, which takes almost three hours by car from the downtown.
