Pattaya’s Walk and Eat Festival is back from 10 Dec — 29 Jan

For foodies who love eating Thai street food and always look out for new-opening markets or food-related festivals in the city to indulge yourselves with various tasty items, we’re glad to say that annual Pattaya’s Walk and Eat Festival is coming back from 10th December — 29th January 2023 in Na Kluea District with a wide selection of street food recipes. So if you happen to be taking a weekend trip to Pattaya, you can drop by this festival for lots of street food, such as grilled seafood, roasted suckling pig, and sushi etc.

Annually, Pattaya’s Eat and Walk Festival is held in Na Kluea District every weekend from December to January of the following year. The festival turns Pattaya-Na Kluea Road into a weekend walking street that boasts a large number of hawkers who sell their tasty food.

If your pastime is to stroll around the market to find food items to satisfy your appetite, we’d say this festival should hold your interest. If you live in Bangkok and visit Pattaya every weekend, you can drop by the festival once you’re here.

You’ll spot big crowds of people checking out food being prepared by hawkers along the way, as there are many interesting food hawkers to look out for. For example, we think you should try a box of roasted suckling pig from ฿100 (~USD2.85)/box.

The hawker will display a suckling pig over a grill with some meat which they can box up for customers.

If you are a fan of seafood, we’re positive you can find a bunch of seafood items here. Grilled seafood such as grilled prawns and squids is easy to find here. Personally, we recommend getting a box of grilled prawns, which starts at ฿100 (~USD2.85).

However, if prawns aren’t your thing, you can opt for grilled squids from ฿50 (~USD1.42). Please note that the prices might vary depending on the stall.

Instead of going to an expensive Japanese restaurant over the weekend, you can try cheap sushi here for a change. The stalls here have sushi with various toppings from ฿10 (~USD0.28)/piece.

Most sushi hawkers here even have a buy 10 get one free offer. We’d say that’s enough to fill your bellies for a while.
