OS Buffet Mookata is a street stall all-you-can-eat buffet
Nothing in Thailand fills you up on payday quite like mookata. If you’ve seen some of the mind-boggling queues for any shop, then you know Thais are willing to wait for hours to put meat on a grill, dip it in spicy sauce, and stuff themselves silly.
OS Buffet Mookata lets you do all that without any of the time restrictions or confusing meal packages. Here it’s just you and your fight to eat so much that you’ll feel guilty eating anything the next day.
Here’s what you can expect to stuff yourself with.
Meats, seafood and three different types of grills
If you don’t know, mookata is an extremely popular cooking method in Thailand that is similar to other Asian-style barbeques. Literally meaning pan pork, mookata’s pan is what differentiates it from the ubiquitous Korean barbeque.

While Korean barbeque has a charcoal grill with a grate on top, mookata has a Thai-style grilling pan over charcoal. These pans will typically be curved, so you can grill the meats on the curved surface while boiling your veggies on the edges.
What makes OS Buffet special is the huge variety of meats and grills available for you for the low starting cost of ฿239/person (~US$7).

Also in addition to the classic mookata pan, you can also opt to grill with a grate that Thais use for grilling Thai river prawns or a pan on top of a clay grill that is used to cook meats with butter.

You can grab all the pork bellies, loins, sausages, and prawns to grill in just the way you want. If you find yourself needing more grills, it’ll only cost you around ฿70 (~US$2) per grill.
No time limits, all-you-can-eat
One of the worst parts about eating at a buffet is feeling rushed by the one-hour time limit. Luckily, eating at OS Buffet is more of a marathon than a sprint.

More than anything, a meal here will be a race against your own body’s impulses to stop eating rather than any clock.

Our advice is this: pace yourself well and don’t stuff yourself full of rice or beverages.
