On 17th November 2022, Khaosod reported that the maple trees in Phu Kradueng have turned bright red due to the drop in temperature in winter. A large number of tourists were allegedly enjoying seeing the phenomenon and joyously snapping pics of maple leaves.

Usually, Phu Kradueng is known for a tourist destination in every winter as people will take a vacation trip to this national park to camp overnight, trek up forested trails and absorb views of foggy mountains annually. However, it is undeniable that red maple leaves are another important factor in drawing visitors here because it’s one of a few places in the country where Thai people can go see maple trees.
