Man runs naked around Hat Yai landmark

On Monday, Mr. Attakorn took the Thai internet by storm after posting a video of himself running naked around a big fountain in Hat Yai, which is a well-known landmark in the city.
In the video, he explained that he did it because he had lost a bet to his friend after the football team he was cheering for lost. They both agreed that the loser had to strip run around in a public place.
The original video and Mr. Attakorn’s Facebook page has since been removed.

This was not the first time Mr. Attakorn and his friend have dared each other to do crazy things like this. He revealed that he previously shaved off one eyebrow and half of his head after losing a similar bet.
Apologised to the public after backlash
While some people find Mr. Attakorn’s video funny, a lot of netizens and the Hat Yai Police Department didn’t seem to think so. Many saw his behaviour as disrespectful and insulting to the place.
Not before long, the police brought Mr. Attakorn in for further investigation. He was then charged with public nudity and fined ฿500 before getting released.

Mr. Attakorn also gave the police a promise that he would never do such a thing ever again, before making an apologetic gesture.
We stan people having fun with what they’re doing, but that fun should be within the limits and should respect the public too.
