Lost Dog Falls Off Boat Into River, Woman Rescues Him And Hopes For Real Owner To Return

Netizens help woman care for homeless dog

If you’re an animal lover, you’ll be able to relate to this kind woman for sure.

On 24th October 2019, Ms. Tung Ao shared pictures of a sad-looking doggo who fell off one of the tugboats that was cruising along Chao Phraya river.

Located in Pathum Thani province, Ms. Tung Ao’s house sat right next to the river. Luckily, the dog was swimming towards her house after it was drifting around for a while. After she spotted him, she didn’t hesitate to take him into her home.

In her post, Ms. Tung Ao described how the dog kept looking out into the river as if he was waiting for his owner to come back and pick him up.

And worse, the dog refused to eat unless he was really hungry, which worried her.

Ms. Tung Ao also shared that she named him Chok, (“luck” in Thai) in hopes that he might be lucky enough to reunite with his real owner. However, she also mentioned that she now sees Chok as a member of her family and promised that she’ll take good care of him no one claims him.

Netizens who learned about Chok’s fate didn’t just stand and watch from behind their screens – instead, they’ve been sending in food and munchies as well as kind words to Ms. Tung Ao.

Aside from food, one person even made a huge missing poster that read: “I miss home. I fell off a boat and I’m now waiting for my owner. Please help me share this sign.” with Ms. Tung Ao’s number printed on it.

As of today, nobody has showed up to claim Chok. But whether he is lost or just a stray, he’s already found a new, loving home at Ms. Tung Ao’s – he’s really chok dee (good luck) indeed.
