LINE Thailand is expanding its services
LINE has been operating successfully in Thailand for 6 years, with users all over the country.
CEO Dr. Pichet Rerkpreecha has recently announced that new services for Thai users under the concept of ‘Life on LINE’ will be rolled out. These include:
- LINE Shopping
- LINE To Shop
- LINE Mini App
- LINE Melody
- Upgraded LINE Man service
A single application for all your business needs
There will now be various mini-applications to service businesses on the platform. For example, apps for managing things such as coupons, reservations, and payments will now be a thing, meaning users can easily manage their businesses within one platform.

Plus, LINE will also be collaborating with Akita Fulfilment and aCommerce to offer one-stop-service shopping experiences. Users and sellers can manage orders, payment methods, payment slips, and purchase confirmations via LINE chat.
LINE Man to operate all around Thailand
LINE Man is one of the most popular delivery services, especially in the city centre. However, it currently operates only in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Samut Prakarn, and Pathum Thani. The app plans to expand the area of service to other major areas including Pattaya, Chiang Mai, and Phuket. This is expected to be available by 2020.
LINE Man will also start a grocery shopping service this year. And to help save the environment, there will be an option for customers to say no to plastic bags and utensils this coming August.
Finding the best price with LINE Shopping
In collaboration with Shopee, Lazada, and many more online marketplaces, LINE Shopping will make things easier with a price-comparing function. So now, users can find the best deal with just one click.
Besides, there is a point system with every purchase made with LINE. The points can be used for theme and sticker purchases and the 60,000 redemption channels enabled via Rabbit LINE Pay.

With many using LINE for phone calls, the app now lets users can choose their own ringtones. This feature called LINE Melody will be released for Thai users this August.
