Japan Coffee Festival in Bangkok
This is an event you can’t miss if you love coffee. From 2-4 February 2024, Museum Siam is hosting Japan Coffee Festival in Bangkok, a cultural exchange event between Japan and Thailand that’ll also serve you fantastic coffee.
Here’s why you don’t want to miss this one.

Quality is guaranteed at this event because it’s a collaborative effort between the Japan Coffee Festival and the popular café Mother Roaster.
Mother Roaster is well-known for exporting Thai Arabica and Robusta coffee as well as the owner’s love for black coffee with no sugar. The café is also joined by 12 other popular coffee shops.

However, the main draw of the event is the coffee cultural exchange with Japanese brewers. The concept behind the event is to use exported Thai coffee beans that are then roasted and brewed by popular Japanese coffee shops and finally served to local enthusiasts at the festival. That means you’ll get served coffee brewed by experts straight from Japan at this festival.
There’ll be a total of 27 different cafés that’ll serve you coffees brewed in 27 different styles.
Free to enter, ฿250 to taste

One of the best parts about this event is that it’s completely free to enter. All the knowledge, brewing techniques, and smells are free to enjoy. However, to taste their exclusive brews, you’ll have to pay ฿250 for their daily pass which includes tickets for 2 cups of coffee, a guidebook, and some stickers – a steal considering the international talent flown to the festival and the price of a cup of coffee in Bangkok.
True enthusiasts can also purchase a set ticket for ฿650 which includes tickets for 6 cups of coffee, a guidebook, stickers, a bag, as well as a chance to win their big prize.
A taste of Thailand with a touch of Japan in a cup of coffee
Don’t miss this if you’re a coffee or cultural exchange enjoyer. What knowledge you can glean from this cultural exchange might elevate your morning coffee forever.
For enthusiast coffee shops in Thailand, check out La Cabra for single-origin Brazilian coffee. There’s also Fiora Cafe for a French experience with croissants. Or try something completely different with this cafe offering Tom Yum coffee.
