Bubble tea fans have tonnes of choices to pick from when it comes to getting a cuppa, especially with bubble tea stores popping up in every corner. But when we start thinking about the calories, sweet flavourings, and chewy boba pearls, that’s when we start feeling a little guilty.
But don’t stress out. We’ve found 10 guilt-free bubble tea shops in Bangkok to get your sweet fix with fewer health worries.
1. cha bar

cha bar is probably the most well-known guilt-free bubble tea store in Bangkok, not just for its wide variety of healthier teas, but also for its cute minimalist design.
Most of their ingredients are made from natural and homemade ingredients, such as their signature riceberry boba pearls which offer the same chewy texture as normal boba, except with fewer calories than the typical tapioca kind. Even their condensed milk is homemade too. cha bar also tries their best to search for local ingredients, like cocoa from Chantaburi and tea leaves from Chiang Rai.

Give their signature riceberry boba a try by pairing it with their Classic Milk CHA (XS: ฿55, S: ฿65, M: ฿75, L: ฿85) at 192 kcal. For something more special, opt for the Taro Milk Tea with Butterfly Sago (M: ฿95, L: ฿105 | 178 kcal). This drink takes a modern twist on the traditional Thai dessert, which comes with sago and coconut milk.

Haba is a hidden bubble tea stall that’s a gem for lovers of herbal tea. They offer different drink combinations that start from the affordable price of ฿55. Drinks include Sweet Ginger Tea, Roselle Tea, Real Fruit Tea, and Cinnamon Tea. Their herbal teas are also available in bottles for takeaway orders at ฿35/bottle.
If you’re here for something more indulgent, go for their Cocoa Oreo Biscuit (฿65) or Iced Hojicha Fresh Milk (฿60). Every cup only uses fresh milk without creamer or added milk powders, so the calories are still under control.

All drinks at Pear Bubble Tea are confirmed to be under 80 kcal, or 200 kcal if you add boba. The store offers homemade pearls made from organic flour in different flavours: original, Thai tea, matcha, riceberry, black sesame, butterfly pea, and konjac. Additionally, the syrups here are made from stevia, so don’t be worried about your sweetness levels!
Head straight for their famous Pearly Milk Tea (฿75) which blends 4 types of teas together, creating a flavour you can’t find in other stores. Another option is Date With Me (฿85). This drink is not only tasty, but also has health benefits like decreasing blood sugar levels and being high in fibre.

Health nuts will be glad to know that this store offers 0 kcal drinks, just as its name suggests.
Matcha lovers can go for the zero-calorie Matcha Original (฿50), which you can order with milk (120 kcal). Milk tea fans should have their Bubble Milk Tea (฿59) at 100 kcal, which is sweetened with stevia instead of regular sugar syrup.

Their pearls are also made with red seaweed, which is less chewy but higher in antioxidants. Aside from bubble tea, the store also offers smoothies like Acai Mixed Berry Chia Pudding (฿125). It’s full of grains, berries, and granola, and one serving will fill you right up.

Aiming to provide 50% less calories than other bubble teas out there, Oh My Goodness BKK has come up with their signature homemade syrup that contains only 8 kcal per pump. This is made from fruits, sugar cane, and cassava. Plus, the milk used here is non-fat.

If you’re bored of the busy city centre, head out for a bit to Punnawithi BTS station to find The Third Place, a community mall with co-working spaces and tons of food stores. One spot to visit here is Pink Capsule, an adorable pink bubble tea shop where you can take some cute pictures.

For a colourful IG pic, get their Happy Jelly Pepo (฿70), a refreshing mix of berry, peach, and lemon syrup with jelly on top. But the star of the show is the Sakura Blooming (฿100). This drink has two layers of fresh Hokkaido milk, sakura syrup, and pink boba pearls.
