Bangkok is undoubtedly one of the most beloved destinations for travellers and is also a home away from home for many expats from all over the world. So, during the ongoing Wuhan Coronavirus pandemic, some foreigners have gone the extra mile to show how much they care for the city and its people.

Free masks at bus station and airport

Last weekend, a Facebook user named Prachaya Opor Chitrabeab shared a picture of a Caucasian lady with medical masks at Chatuchak Market Bus Station.

The caption read, “I saw that this lady kept walking up and down the buses, so I asked her if she needed any help.” Mr. Prachaya realised soon after that the woman, along with her boyfriend, was, in fact, passing out free masks to the commuters onboard the buses.

The kindness doesn’t end there. Facebook user Graipass Chaleechai also shared some photos and a video of a Chinese man handing out medical masks out for free to passersby at Suvarnabhumi International Airport.

He was seen with a trolley full of medical masks and wearing a big sign in Mandarin to let people know why he was there. When Mr. Graipass asked for his name, the man declined to answer, only saying that he was doing it “for China” and “for friends.”
