66-year-old Thai woman dies in Washington

On 21st March 2020, a 66-year-old head chef, known as Miss Pailin, had reportedly passed away after being infected with COVID-19 at MedStar Georgetown Hospital in Washington, D.C., United States.
Mr. Cherdkiat Atthakor, Foreign Ministry spokesman, said that the ministry received the news from the Thai embassy in Washington.

This is deemed the first case of a Thai person dying from a virus outside the country. In Thailand, 3 more deaths have been announced, bringing the mortality number up to 4.
According to Bangkok Post, Miss Pailin’s niece confirmed that she died as a result of COVID-19.
The Thai embassy is helping Miss Pailin’s family in the US.
Stay home and keep your hands clean
To avoid getting infected with COVID-19, practice social distancing by staying at home as much as you can. On top of that, clean your hands with hand sanitiser or soap and water regularly to get rid of unwanted germs.
