Sad Dog Lost in Bangkok Streets; Thai Netizens Come Together To Look For Owner

Dog lost in Nonthaburi streets

Thai netizens have proved that there is still good in the world. On the evening of the 24th July 2019, a Facebook user named Pang Ppds posted pictures of a lost dog on the streets, capturing its sad face as it stood in the rain.

The caption over the post read “Is this little one lost? Last night it roamed around as if looking for the owner. I feel pity.”, followed with the last seen location of the dog at the time of posting: 7-11, Soi Tiwanon 14.

The post has been shared over 2,000 times. The commenters expressed their sympathy and wished the canine good luck to find its owner soon.

Some prayed that this was not a case of abandonment while others begged people to temporarily shelter the unfortunate soul for safety.

Amongst all comments, there was also another poster looking for a lost dog, which looked similar to the one in the original post.

It didn’t take long for the post’s owner to contact the number. But hope was lost after the recipient confirmed the dog is not theirs. It turned out that the dog in the poster was lost in Nakhon Pathom province, which is almost an hour away from Nonthaburi.

Wishing for the best for both lost canines

Our hearts are with both of these furry friends. Hopefully, this post helps spread the news and, better yet, reaches their owners. We want to see them and their human friends reunite soon.

Many others waiting for home and love

Heartbreakingly, this story is just one small part of the stray or abandoned pet problem in Thailand – but you can help. If you’re looking to have your own dog, consider adopting one from the rescue shelters around Bangkok such as Soi Dog.

Or if you’re not ready to shelter one permanently, you can also donate to any of these organisations working to solve this issue:
