Dash Space cafe in Bangkok
As an avid cafe lover, I’m pretty sure I’ve been to my fair share of Bangkok cafes. And yet when I first stepped into Dash Space, I was genuinely blown away.
This cafe brings the definition of “all-white” to a whole other level – with a mini oasis, mirror feature wall and concept drinks.
So if you’re on the lookout for the next IG-worthy cafe or simply a fan of monochromatic minimalism, read on to check out our review of this one-of-a-kind locale in Bang Khen – and bring your shades.
Blindingly white al fresco dining area and interior spaces
From the moment you set foot on the cafe grounds, in contrast to the usual grey and endearingly messy streets of Bangkok, Dash Space was pristine.
We’d come on a sunny day and while the lighting was perfect for the most gorgeous photographs, we found ourselves squinting until we finally made it indoors. If you’re headed down, remember to bring those shades I mentioned earlier.
Thankfully, it was a lot more comfortable indoors. The furniture was either all-white or a cool stainless steel. And of course, the friendly baristas donned cool black Dash Space shirts too – boy, do we love a seamless monochromatic theme.
But whether you’re dressed in black and white or not, the cafe itself was a dream shoot location for any photographer and here’s why.
Cacti surrounds the cafe along with a mirror feature wall and minimalist corridors
In addition to its trademark all-white colour palette, the cafe grounds had steps and corridors that lent themselves to some enviable shots with tons of leading lines and angles.
Just outside the cafe is the all-white set: complete with the aforementioned staircases, a seating ledge, minimalist corridors and even a mirror feature wall.
I’m pretty sure we spent more time taking photos here than actually consuming their drinks. Though speaking of which, the drinks we ordered deserve a special mention.
Specialty coffees and drinks from ฿140
This drink, aptly named Eclipse, was not just photogenic but also tasted as refreshing and yummy as it looked.
Not too sweet, a little sour and the perfect companion for a hot day, Eclipse set us back a reasonable ฿180 (~USD5).Â
If that’s not your cup of tea, you could also opt for their refreshing Yuzu Lychee Iced Tea or Summer Time Floral Tea which both cost ฿140 (~USD4) respectively.
Getting to Dash Space – the all-white desert oasis in Bang Khen
Even as we were making our way out, the cafe continued to surprise us. There was a cacti garden and a shallow body of water surround the cafe – contributing to its image as an almost-dystopian desert oasis.
Honestly, even if you’re not a huge photographer yourself, Dash Space is one that I’d easily add to my list of must-visit cafes in Thailand. Not only is the location stunning, but the staff are friendly and the quality of drinks speak for themselves.
