‘Cafe’ opens on zebra crossing in Thailand
When we walk across the road, it’s very necessary for us to use the zebra crossing.
While they help us cross the road safely, crosswalks can also surprise us with street food stalls that can elevate clients’ eating-on-the-road experience to the next level.

Food stall spotted set up on the zebra crossing
On 28th January 2022, a picture of a street food stall sitting on the zebra crossing in front of Sunpasitthiprasong Hospital became a hot issue across social media in Thailand.

Posted on Facebook Page, วารินชำราบบ้านเฮา, the picture showed two customers sitting at the street cafe’s table that occupied one side of the road.

After the story was posted online, several netizens were surprised by the food stall’s setting. One Facebook user commented with the hashtag, “one table may not be enough.
However, some netizens wondered why the police let the food stall occupy the zebra crossing, as reported by KomChadLuek Online.

To answer the question, the owner of the cafe stall was fined by the police for violating the traffic rules. However, the post’s owner helped pay the fine as the hawker claimed she didn’t know what she did is illegal.
He also shared this as a post on Facebook where netizens applauded him for helping the hawker.

After the photo was shared as a post on Facebook, many netizens made their comments, naming the stall on the crosswalk.

One Facebook user shared that the stall’s food must have been sold out because the stall is very noticeable.

Admittedly, we were surprised when we saw the location of the new food stall.
