Baan Hom Muen Lee in Chiang Rai
Recently, it seems like there’s always a new reason to get away. Whether it’s to celebrate the lifting of restrictions, to get in one last hoorah before borders close or simply because you need a break from the city.
Whatever the motivation behind planning your next vacation, we hear the mountains are always a good idea.
If relaxing and enjoying some peace and quiet hundreds of metres above sea-level is your ideal holiday, then we’d suggest heading over to Baan Hom Muen Lee in Chiang Rai.

Whether it’s from the lobby, hallways, guest rooms, or the restaurant-cum-teahouse, guests will have an uninterrupted view of the mountains.

Fortunate early risers can even watch the fog roll in as they eat breakfast and enjoy hand-picked tea.
However, if you’re looking to literally bathe in the fog and forest, then we’re sure the next section is more your speed.
Private outdoor jacuzzies that overlook the mountains
Here, guests can choose from a variety of accommodation options that start from ฿1,390 (~USD40.5), each of them offering a view of the mountains.
The main attractions, though, are the two jacuzzi suites, J1 and J2.

Both of the rooms offer private terraces complete with a jacuzzi that allows guests to soak in the bubbles, as well as literally go forest-bathing.
It should also be noted that the resort does not permit children under the age of 15 as well as those with difficulty walking to stay in these rooms for safety reasons.
J1 offers a round-shaped tub on the terrace and starts from ฿5,800 (~USD169)/night.

J2, which as a square-shaped tub, costs ฿5,500 (~USD160)/night.

While these private outdoor jacuzzies are certainly eye-catching, we would also suggest taking advantage of the view and room service.

For Bangkok residents, the sight of fog is never a good sign.
When you’re up in these Chiang Rai mountains, though, we’re pretty sure you’ll have a hard time remembering why that’s the case.
