Akha Farmville is situated high up in Chiang Rai’s mountains – alm0st as if the resort is touching the clouds – so do make sure to dress warmly during your visit here.
For only ฿100 (~USD2.89), you’d get to enter the farm and snap photos with the endearing flock of sheep. Afterwards, head to their little cafe inside to redeem your free coffee drink that comes with the farm entrance fee.

The cafe is tastefully decorated with straws befitting the chilly and farm-style environment that Akha Farmville creates with its position overlooking a mountain valley. How it holds up against the storms… I have no idea. But boy, is this little cafe sturdy.

There are tiny benches outside the cafe to rest on while sipping your coffee, after redeeming your drink. The positions of the benches are perfect for taking in the morning mist and beauty of the mountain valleys whilst you’re here. Honestly, upon laying eyes on this scenery, the blue skies and vibrant green immediately take me back to Queenstown, New Zealand.

And if you happen to be here during sunset, this is the sort of view you’d get. Just look at that flock of sheep grazing the fields so casually. What a life.

Online reviewers agree that the best time to pop by Akha Farmville for a visit would be in the early mornings. While it’s all chilly and misty, can you think of anything better than snuggling up to your very own little lamb. Bring out dem Mary vibes right now please.

You can also feed the sheep here with the grains that will be provided by the staff. Once you bring out that basket, just watch as the whole flock moves to surround you.

But of course, should you find yourself paying the cafe a midday visit instead, go for shots like that – which makes the valley look completely different. For this particular pic, I’m getting those boho-chic Sahara desert vibes for sure.

In the wee hours of the morning, you’ll probably catch sunrise shots like this, being the one to feed the lovely flock their breakfast for the day – all while the soft light of the sun graces the scene.
