1. BamBam is the second most followed Thai male celebrity on IG

We already know BamBam’s reputation has soared to impressive heights. However, some of you might wonder how popular he is, compared to other public figures in Thailand. According to AJ Marketing, he’s the second most followed male celebrity in Thailand after Bright Vachirawit, with 17.6 million followers.
Given his talents and lovely personality, there’s no cause for surprise about his popularity.
2. He’s a multilingual king

Apart from his talents in singing and dancing, we’re proud to say he also possesses skills in languages. As a Thai person, the Thai language naturally comes as his mother tongue, no doubt. But, he also speaks Korean and English fluently. Furthermore, he surprises us with his grasp of Chinese and Japanese, even if to a lesser extent.

3. A former member of WE ZAA COOL in LG Entertainer

Many know that being an artist in the K-pop industry isn’t an easy task, as it takes many years of training. That said, BamBam’s talents have been evident since his childhood. At the age of 10, he won the 1st place in a Rain Cover Dance competition in Thailand back in 2007. Also, in 2010, he secured the 2nd place in the “LG Entertainer” competition in Thailand as a member of WE ZAA COOL, the same band in which LISA from BLACKPINK was also a member.
4. Friendship with LISA from Blackpink

As two big K-pop stars, LISA and BamBam have shared a friendship since their youth as they were in the same band. Although they are the same age, BamBam is used to calling LISA P’LISA, a term used to address an older person, because of LISA’s comparatively larger stature back then.

5. He appeared in a Hong Kong movie

BamBam’s skillset spans beyond music. He made his first appearance in a horror Hong Kong movie “Fairy Tale Killer“, which was released in 2012. Although his character in the movie didn’t have any lines of dialogue, BamBam’s ability to convey emotions through his expressions was impressive enough.

Later in 2016, he also took the role of a nerdy student who gets bullied in a school in a Thai short film — Sanctuary.

It’s a well-known fact that many K-pop singers had to give up on their schooling to pursue their careers as a star. Nonetheless, in BamBam’s case, he was praised as an artist who didn’t abandon his studies.
As he recognised the significance of education, he chose to study at a non-formal education school and graduated with a GPA of 3.24. He reportedly flew back to Thailand to sit an exam twice a year back then.

BamBam doesn’t only have his music in Korean but also in Thai. He has three Thai songs. The first one is พี่ไม่ล่อลวง which is a soundtrack of a Thai movie อ้าย…คนหล่อลวง in 2020. Another song is Skrrt. It’s a hip-hop song featuring F.HERO and YOUNGOHM.

Lastly, his most popular Thai song is Do You, featuring F.HERO — a famous Thai rapper. The music video has gained over 60 million views so far.
8. Many nicknames given by his fans

Celebrities commonly have nicknames given by their fans. The same goes for BamBam because he has got a lot of nicknames from his fans.
One of his common nicknames is ‘Ngu Ngu’ or งูงู. This nickname comes from a wordplay in Thai where ‘Bam’ sounds like the Korean word for ‘snake,’ which is ‘ngu.’
Apart from this, there are also ‘Kon’ or ‘Bwom Bwom,’ which came from his chubby cheeks and lips, and ‘Bam Shinja’ (‘Bam the Crazy’) came from his humorous nature. ‘BamBam Kong Klang’ or แบมแบมของขลัง originated from fans who would use numbers given by Bam Bam to buy lotteries and often win the prizes. ‘Noo Noo’ came about because Golf F’kinghero’s daughter was fond of him and would call out ‘Noo Noo’ when they were together at events.

BamBam does have cats, and while giving an interview at The Cloud, he said that his cats always revitalize him after work and help him manage time better since he has to make time for his cats.

When he moved to South Korea as a young boy, his music record label aimed for him to gain height, so he was sent to learn basketball, and that’s when he started loving it.
