Isolation with animals amid COVID-19

Life during lockdown can be boring for a lot of people, but we can’t say the same for these zookeepers from Cornwall, UK who got to spend their isolation taking care of adorable animals in Paradise Park, a local wildlife sanctuary.
Volunteered to care for animals
After the park closed its doors to the public due to the COVID-19 crisis, 4 of Paradise Park’s staff members – Izzy, Emily, Layla, and Sarah-Jane – volunteered to move in and take care of all the animals.

Besides wanting to take care of their beloved animals, these zookeepers also wanted to keep a safe distance from their elderly family members at home in case they were unknowingly carrying the virus.

While here, all 4 of them had to look after, clean, and feed more than 1,200 animals including beautiful birds and adorable mammals such as red pandas, red squirrels, and Asian otters.

They were also keeping up with the animals’ routines like training the eagles, so when the sanctuary reopens, these little pals wouldn’t forget their roles.
This is, without a doubt, the best isolation story we’ve seen so far.
