Speaking of tea farms, many tourists will know that Chiang Rai is the top pick because the province boasts a loads of tea plantations where city-dwellers often escape to for wellness retreats.

Before you step into Wang Put Tan Tea Farm, however, you’ll definitely notice the circular archway at the entrance, which makes it feel like you’re entering an ancient teahouse in China. Regardless of its theme, you’ll also notice paper lanterns lining both sides of the walkway.

Once you step inside, you’ll encounter the sight of terraced farms on overlapping green hills far ahead. We’d recommend quickly grabbing a camera out of your backpack to snap a pic of the scene. Plus, we’d suggest paying attention to your surroundings, so you won’t miss this hidden narrow stairway leading to the tea farms in the lower terraces.

One thing we bet you don’t want to miss out on, is to roleplay as a tea farmer, pretending to collect tea leaves yourself. To blend in with the locals, you could buy or rent a traditional outfit to put on before paying this place a visit. With a backdrop of rolling hills, we’re sure your pic will get a lot of likes on the ‘gram.

While checking out the views, however, you might spot five houses sitting on stilts, resembling Muji-style houses in Japan. They’re actually glamping houses where visitors can opt to stay in overnight. Despite the exterior’s designs, don’t expect a fully renovated house when you push the doors open, as you’ll find a glamping area instead with panoramic views of the mountains.

FYI, if you’re interested in staying here after reading this, prices start from ฿2,700 (~USD76)/night. Feel free to DM them directly on their FB page for more info.

After admiring the views and strolling in the tea farms, consider dropping by their Chinese cafe before leaving the place. We like that the teahouse offers a large space to accommodate many guests: with both roomy indoor and outdoor dining areas.
