VERSO Hua Hin Has Multi-Tiered Pools That Remind Us Of Pamukkale In Turkey & Is Only 3-Hrs From BKK

VERSO Hua Hin in Petchaburi, Thailand

Pamukkale, also known as the “Cotton Castle” in Turkey is on many-a-traveller’s bucket list, including ours. The many tiers of limestone-rich turquoise pools encased in white calcite stones are a testament of mother nature’s creativity and sculpting ability.

As our travel plans placed on hold by the current situation, a majority of us have instead had to marvel at the beauty of nature on a smaller scale in our gardens.

However, VERSO Hua Hin is a beachside hotel with multi-step pools that are equally blue and fenced in white marble that resembles the Cotton Castle and is only a three hour drive from Bangkok.

So, while international travel isn’t too close on the horizon, those in Bangkok can travel over to Hua Hin when it reopens later this year to enjoy a man-made Pamukkale.

VERSO Hua Hin, a beachside hotel under the Veranda umbrella, is nestled between lush hills and a – private – white, sandy beach in Petchaburi. The province is merely a three-hour drive away from Bangkok. Thus, you can easily fit this luxe hotel into their Thailand-trip itineraries.

While everyone loves a private beach, sandy swimsuits and unexpected encounters with sea critters are not exactly high on the list of travel-perks. So, if you’re feeling like a dip in some blue waters – sans jellyfish – you can head over to one of VERSO Hua Hin’s four swimming pools.

With four pools at your disposal, you won’t have to worry about carving out a personal tanning and/or reading spot like you would on a public beach.

Private plunge pool that overlooks the ocean at the Sky Pool Suite

Me-time is one of the most crucial ingredients self-care. If splashing in a pool with people around isn’t really your style, then maybe booking one of these Sky Pool Suites that come with their own fishbowl-esque dipping pool and bathtub would be conducive towards private rejuvenation.

Starting from ฿20,000 (~USD600)/night the Sky Pool Suite fulfills all your fantasies of bathing under the skies in an elevated pool that overlooks the sea. While the price is steep, the room does sleep four people. So, rally your friends so you can all enjoy this ultra luxurious room that also allows for a floating breakfast.

The hotel also more affordable rooms – like in the ฿5,000 (~USD150)/night range – for those who are willing to forgo the private plunge experience. *Cries in budget-management*

Although, the Deluxe rooms and above do have bathtubs situated right next to massive windows that overlook the ocean as well as the multiple pools.

You can use whatever you’d have saved from opting out of the Sky Pool Suite at the spa that has a Japanese bath for you to get your zen on.

VERSO Hua Hin is only three hours away from Bangkok

It’s been over a year since the world stopped and Thailand is slowly reopening to foreign tourists – Hua Hin is projected to open this year.

So, if you want a quieter experience at Thailand’s version of Pamukkale, then we’d recommend heading over ASAP. After all, with all that staying home, we’ve probably saved up enough to treat ourselves to a much-deserved holiday.
